Virtual Assistant FAQs

How do you resolve conflicts when working with a VA?

In any in-house or virtual team, conflicts may occasionally arise. Whether an issue is related to a miscommunication or a change in availability, it’s important to address it quickly and resolve it fully.

There are four types of conflict you may encounter when working with a VA:

  • Internal
  • Communication
  • Work schedule
  • Poor fit

If an internal conflict or miscommunication arises between the VA and another employee or member of your team, we recommend that you address the conflict internally.

If a work schedule conflict arises, we’ll work with the VA and your team to find the solution that fits the best. If we’re unable to find an acceptable solution, we will look at rehiring for the role. You are required to provide a seven day notice period for your current VA so they can begin to look for a new job placement.

If a conflict is due to a poor fit for the VA’s role, we’ll first do everything we can to help manage the VA’s performance. If we are unable to successfully manage the VA in the current role, we’ll take steps to replace them. Keep in mind that a seven day notice period is required.
