Your VA can work as long as you require them to according to the schedule you requested in their original job description. This schedule can often extend beyond standard business hours.
Every business goes through changes. If you would like to request any changes to the original schedule, it’s important to let your VA know as soon as possible. The HR team will then work with the VA to see whether they’re willing and able to commit to the changing schedule.
They may be open to extra work and welcome the additional hours. However, they may already have holiday plans and commitments to spend time with their family at Christmas time, on Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day.
If you need additional help on the weekends, we will work with you to find a solution. If we can’t find a solution, we may need to hire an additional VA for those hours that you want them to work.
We ask that you be flexible in understanding when it comes to holidays and weekends in particular because they may have other prior commitments.
If, in your initial job post, you request VA who can work on weekends or particular holidays, we can find a VA who is more than willing to fill those times. However, if you’ve requested a VA who can work Monday through Friday and want to expand your schedule to weekends, you may need to hire a second VA to fill that additional requirement.
